Reza Ghafoorian is a medical doctor and healthcare attorney with more than 20 years of experience in healthcare, health law and regulatory compliance. Reza acts as the CEO of Perla.
Perla was born out of Reza’s firsthand experience representing long-term care facilities, and healthcare providers in complex compliance matters. His legal career included representing clients in fraud and abuse law, privacy and security law, telemedicine regulations, and medical staff peer-review proceedings. He founded G2Z Law Group, PLLC in 2012, a boutique firm dedicated to healthcare regulatory and compliance law, where he guided providers through regulatory challenges and enforcement actions.
At Perla, Reza combines this deep health care knowledge, and regulatory expertise with a passion for innovation. The platform automates the credentialing processes by tracking & collecting credentials, verifying OIG and state licenses, and streamlining other documentation workflows — ensuring administrators never miss critical deadlines and reducing the risk of costly penalties and repayments.
Reza earned his M.D. from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in 2000 and his J.D. from The George Washington University Law School in 2004. He lives in Washington, D.C., and is committed to helping long-term care organizations strengthen compliance while reducing costs and uncertainty in their operations.
